Edward Grey is no stranger to the undead; since raising his cat as a zombie when he was a child, he and his mentor Mariel have explored and developed his power as a necromancer. Despite everything he's learned, as a necromancer and a medical student, he's never encountered a ghost.
While Mariel is unreachable in Haiti on mysterious business, a ghost wakes Edward in the middle of the night, claiming to be his grandfather. When the ghost offers to teach him about this different form of undeath, Edward has little choice but to trust the spirit.
After receiving a phone call from a young girl claiming her father is possessed, Edward and his Undead Canadian fiancé, Kit, must travel to an acreage in Kingston…Ontario.
The haunting proves far more complicated than Edward could ever have guessed, and he finds himself pitted against an ancient evil determined to engulf everyone on the farm.
Edward's love and connection to Kit will be tested, and his necromancy stretched to his limits as he has to find—and destroy—a twisted spirit more powerful than anything he's ever encountered.

I'm very glad for Mister Jenkins there - as I hoped nothing bad happens to him.I thought retelling wasn't really necessary, though.

My Zombie Fiancé The Undead Canadian Series Book 2 edition by T Strange Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
This is a terrific follow-up to My Zombie Boyfriend. It has all the delightfully weird elements of the first book without being simply more of the same.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked it up. Total honesty I didn't even read the blurb. I just wanted more of Edward and Kit (and maybe Bone). I got my wish as well as a great story that had me hooked from the start and kept my interest all the way to the end.
What I liked This is brand-new territory for Edward the Necromancer. He's used to zombies, and now he has to deal with ghosts. I enjoyed the twists, and I liked how it isn't the same old tired ghost story. Sure, there's an unhappy ghost, a love connection with the long-deceased, and a couple of exorcisms, but they're all different parts of the story. They felt fresh, and it was exciting to see Edward's abilities expanding and being tested.
What I loved Besides Edward and Kit, I still adore creepy Bone, and I really enjoyed his parts in the story. My only complaint is that there is not enough Boo in this one! I also loved how there's plenty of shiver-inducing ghost-and-zombie action, but there's also a lot of oh-my-gosh-I'm-glad-I-wasn't-drinking-anything humor throughout. And of course, above it all is Edward and Kit's charming and weird relationship.
Anyone looking for a steamy romance won't find it here. The lovey stuff happened in the last book, so this one is more about Edward discovering his new talents. However, anyone needing a quirky paranormal tale that can be read in an afternoon should definitely pick this one up.

I am so excited that I picked this book to read this week. I absolutely loved it. Edward and Kit return to continue their story from the first book, My Zombie Boyfriend. Though Kit would prefer to be called an Undead Canadian, not Zombie. I love this title for the series, I feel like it could/should be a band name.😉
Kit, who was reanimated by Edward, a necromancer, is all about their wedding plans in this book. Meanwhile Edward is continuing with his education and learning more about what it means to be a necromancer when he sees his first ghost. His best friend and mentor Mariel has gone to Haiti for some unexplained trip and suddenly all the things she has protected Edward from are exposed. Though he hasn’t used his powers for much more than raising a few zombies, he now has to find ways to lay ghosts to rest and stopping a possession.
I really love how close Edward and Kit have become in this book. They are meeting each other halfway in regards to their interests such as wedding planning, going out, and necromancing. They had faced trials before their engagement in the first book and came out with flying colors. But Kit had always seemed a bit self-obsessed to me. He’s very fashion conscious, likes going out, and doesn’t like things that aren’t good looking like Edward’s zombie cat, Boo. He’s just a bit picky for a guy who needs to eat raw meat and cow brains. In this book, however, he is very considerate of Edward. He seems to take care of him and worry about him. He knows Edward doesn’t care about his clothes or hair, and has accepted his fiance for who he is. Edward, as always is very caring about Kit, and has learned to look past a moment of violence in Kit’s history.
The mystery of the possession and the menacing force Edward feels around the farm he visits was very good to me. It wasn’t extremely scary, but was suspenseful. You could see how much the two characters really needed each other as they fought a dark spirit. Edward’s growth in his magical ability was interesting and I can’t wait to see what’s still in store for him. Kit’s growth in his love for Edward made me smile and I really love them together. I am looking forward to where the author might take this series. I really hope to see their unconventional wedding play out in the next book. My Zombie Fiance should be read in series order, just to get a good idea of their relationship dynamics. It was a fantastic read and I definitely recommend it.
So anyone that knows me, knows that I wouldn’t stop raving about My Zombie Boyfriend after I had read it. As a result, I couldn’t wait to get my grabby hands on a copy of My Zombie Fiancé. I think I love Edward and Kit even more after reading it. What more can you ask for? PNR, m/m, horror and comedy all in one!
Edward’s life couldn’t be better; still pursuing his medical studies by day and developing his skills as a necromancer by night. Plus, and more importantly, organising a wedding to the love of his life. The fact that said fiancé is undead is neither here nor there. What could possibly go wrong?
With his mentor, Mariel, out of the country, it falls to Edward to come to the aid of a young girl. This will just be a run of mill exorcism, won’t it? No need to panic, even if Edward has never performed one before.
However, Edward ends up in a fight for very life and that of his HEA with Kit. I have to say the horror part of the story was really ramped up in Book #2 and The Big Bad they find themselves up against literally gave me the willies. I jest not!! There will be a few more lights on the house tonight I can tell you….
I’m calling this a supernatural whodunit!! I had to know what happened and read it all in one sitting. My bladder was severely protesting by the time I finished lol – TMI? Eh, meh.
Kit still cracks me up with his sarcastic wit and I find Edward’s lack of social skills so endearing. Yet through whatever gets flung at our unconventional duo, you feel the love they have for one another.
As with the first in the series, there is host of colourful secondary characters; old and new. Mariel, Edward’s eccentric parents, Bone with the addition of Claude and Stanley to name but a few. I was so happy Bone was back and I’m desperate to hear more about him. I’ll keep my fingers crossed there may be a novella in the offing. I can hope, right? Also The Lord of the Rings references priceless!
I look forward to the next in the series and can only imagine the shenanigans that Edward and Kit will get themselves involved in next!
