Very nice book. Not exactly how I would have pictured the legendary Pobble, but a lovely little book with some of my favorite Edward Lear verses

great illustrations a very favorite family book!!
I had been discussing my favorite book as a child when a dear friend mentioned that she had loved this one. She is an accomplished artist in her own right, and enjoyed the illustrations in this edition. This edition is out of print, so I had to buy a used copy for her as a gift. I was slightly disappointed in the condition, as it was a gift, but to buy a better one would have been cost prohibitive. Since I bought it as a gift, I did not read it and I do not want to leave any review on the story since I am not familiar with it.
One of the all-time great children's books--words and pictures.
A book from my childhood. Perfect condition!
This was a favorite book of mine and my children. We wore our copy out, but I kept it to pass along to grandchildren. It looked pretty tacky and falling apart, so I began my internet search several years ago. Finally, here were several copies. It was exciting to present my son and daughter-in-law with a "new" copy.
